In
conspiracy thrillers the hero or heroine is often fighting a secret, but
extremely powerful, network of enemies. Sometimes, the plot centers on an
ordinary guy who accidentally stumbles into a most dangerous political or
military conspiracy.
The best
conspiracy thrillers are those that might actually be true and are able to
rise serious doubts about established scientific or historical truths. They
leave you with nagging questions long after you have finished the book.
Unfortunately, many conspiracy thrillers are crossing the boundary from
entertaining fiction to pseudoscience and political paranoia. |
